Malabika Sen, PhD, MBA, is the  Associate Director for Economic Partnerships and Outreach at the Institute for Precision Medicine (IPM). Dr. Sen has been at the University of Pittsburgh for over 17 years. Prior to joining the IPM, Dr. Sen was a Research Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center where she worked on cancer biomarkers and molecular targeted therapies in lung cancer. With a PhD in Biochemistry and over 25 years of experience in the health sciences, Dr Sen further developed her enterprising abilities by completing an MBA at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh with a focus on Strategy/Innovation/Commercialization/Entrepreneurship. Dr. Sen brings years of experience and expertise to drive economic partnership with industry and academics through agile leadership and strategic planning and is dedicated to enabling personalized medicine in healthcare to improve patient outcomes.
