Malabika Sen, PhD, MBA, has joined the Institute for Precision Medicine (IPM) as Associate Director, Economic Partnerships and Outreach. Dr. Sen has been at the University of Pittsburgh for over 17 years. Prior to joining the IPM, Dr. Sen was a Research Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center where she worked on cancer biomarkers and molecular targeted therapies in lung cancer. With a PhD in Biochemistry and over 25 years of experience in health science, she decided to sharpen her enterprising abilities by getting an MBA at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh with a focus on Strategy/Innovation/Commercialization/Entrepreneurship. Dr. Sen brings years of experience and expertise to drive economic partnership with industry and academic partners through agile leadership and strategic planning and is dedicated to bringing personalized medicine in healthcare to improve patient outcomes.
