Sanket joined the UPMC Genome Center in January 2017. He graduated with his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai in 2010 and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. He has worked for UPMC for the last 1.5 years as a Project Manager for the UPMC Genome Center. During that time, he has worked with several Genomic Data Management solution providers to implement UPMC Genome Center’s post-sequencing secondary analysis and clinical interpretation pipelines. He has parlayed his background in IT and Business with Clinical Genomics to contribute towards building a cost-effective, secure, and scalable IT architecture for the UPMC Genome Center. As the Genome Center’s Software Engineer, his primary duties are developing and maintaining automation scripts, designing and programming complex applications that will support the analysis of large scale NGS data in accordance with the SDLC and various technology standards, database design and maintenance, and supporting the Genome Center’s IT infrastructure and applications to enable smooth operations.
